Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre Held the 2nd Session of 2008 China (Zhengzhou) International Electric Bicycle Expo

International Electric Bicycle Expo held in the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 5 to 7 March was completed in great success. This expo has utilised an exhibition area of over 60,000 square meters. More than 1,200 brands of electric car were exhibited in this expo in which more than 85% of the vehicles and 95% of the motor accessories came from the central and western regions of China.

The main theme of this expo was “Care about people’s travel, Build a Harmonious Traffic”. This expo was supported by Henan Business Daily, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Henan Sub-council and Henan Electric –bicycle Business Association. It is the largest electric bicycle exhibition in the mid-west region of China.

Most of the exhibitors were satisfied with the results of the exhibition. As said by Mr. Zhang Zhongkuan, Chairman of Sendi Electric Car Company, "Our business (electric cars & bikes) will simultaneously develop in Henan market, the Chamber of Commerce of Henan Province had given us lots of support and I am sure that we will have a bright future here."An Executive Assistant Manager of Wuxi City Small Dark Horse Ltd commented after the exhibition, "there was no electric cars, bike accessories in other similar shows, or was not comprehensive enough. No other shows had achieved a level like this which covered all the accessories and displays under one roof. This show demonstrated the true potential of businesses."

The ZZICEC is a new exhibition and convention centre in a newly developed business district of Zhengzhou between the CBD and Zhengzhou ’s airport. It has been managed by VMZL since 1 June 2006. VMZL provided consultation to ZCL on the ZZICEC from September 2005. The exhibition portion of the ZZICEC includes two (2) major exhibits halls Opening ceremony of the 2nd session of 2008 China (Zhengzhou) International Electric Bicycle Expo at ZZICEC Customers are enquiring about the bicycle accessories during the exhibition with a total rentable area of 66,000 sq m and there exists an additional 38,000 sq m of outdoor exhibition area. The convention portion of the ZZICEC includes the Grand Hall seating up to 3,160 persons, the International Theatre seating 1,090 persons, two (2) smaller theatres and related break-out space for meetings, conferences and hospitality functions.
