Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre wins China Top Ten Brand Exhibition Centres

(10 August 2009, Zhengzhou, China) Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre (ZZICEC) was awarded the “China Top Ten Brand Exhibition Centre” in the 5th China International Events Festival held in Chengdu last month. Zhengzhou was also named the “China Top Ten Brand Exhibition Cities” in the event.
ZZICEC is managed by the Hong Kong - Shanghai Venue Management (Zhengzhou) Ltd (VMZL) since June 2006. Mr Cliff Wallace, Chairman of the VMZL, is delighted with the accolades from the peers. “The management team of ZZICEC is thrilled to receive the awards from the industry professionals. It demonstrates that ZZICEC is an ideal venue for hosting national and international exhibitions. The commitment of the Zhengzhou Municipal Government on developing Zhengzhou as the leading convention and exhibition city in Central China is also indispensable,” he said.
Since 2006, ZZICEC has hosted 296 international and national events including 98 exhibitions and 198 conventions. An exhibition area of 13,240,000 sqm was utilised and received more than 3,540,000 visitors from home and abroad. Major events held in ZZICEC include PHARMCHINA, International Pharmaceutical Machinery Expo, China Automobile Parts Fair and China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition.
The 5th China International Events Festival was organised by the China Conference & Exhibition Magazine. The publication invited exhibition organisers and industry professionals as the judges for the awards. The awards are regarded as the most influential recognition in the China exhibition industry. Other award winners included exhibition centres in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong & Shenzhen.
