Auto Aftermarket Fair Shows Extraordinary Growth at ZZICEC

(Zhengzhou, 10 July 2009) The China International Auto Aftermarket Fair (CIAAF) and the 6th China Accessories Trade Fair broke all records with 2,300 exhibitors participating in the fair, nearly twice the number exhibiting in last year’s edition.  Visitor activity was constant with 120,000 persons attending during the 3-day event in the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre (ZZICEC).

CIAAF, organised by the China Auto Fitting Industry Federation, China Automotive Maintenance and Repair Trade Association and The People’s Government of Zhengzhou, was staged from 30 June to 2 July 2009 in the ZZICEC.  The 4 year old venue is located in Henan’s provincial capital, Zhengzhou.  Exhibiting in the fair were the latest auto accessories including auto interior and exterior products, auto electronics & appliances, and car care products displayed within over 60,000 sqm of exhibition space.

Mr. Guo Jie, Vice Chairman of the China Auto Fitting Industry Federation said, “We are pleased to have held our event in a world-class venue with such a professional management team. We also appreciate very much the flexibility of the facilities in ZZICEC that contributed to the success of the show.”

Cliff Wallace, Chairman of Hong Kong – Shanghai Venue Management (Zhengzhou) Ltd., the ZZICEC’s management company, expressed his confidence saying, ”The market in Zhengzhou has proven itself once again and the venue’s potential for hosting many more exhibitions, including international fairs, is clear.”

The number of exhibitors and visitors was unprecedented which demonstrated the strength of the auto market in Central China. The participation of international auto associations from 11 countries including Australia, Japan, India, Russia, and United Stated is very encouraging to Zhengzhou’s officials and the ZZICEC’s management.

An overseas delegate, Mr Ben Bartlett, who is the National Membership Manager of Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association said, “I was impressed by the strength shown by this developing show through significant exhibitor and visitor numbers.  This clearly shows the growth that is being seen in the Automotive industry in Central China.

CIAAF is scheduled to return to the ZZICEC in 2010.
